2014 Riesling
Vineyard
The remarkable snow capped Pisa Range landscape with glittering rivers (this was gold rush territory in the 1800s) produces very distinctive wines.
Grown at Pisa – a warm district of the Cromwell Basin, careful management of the vines kept crop levels low producing good quality small-berried fruit.
The 2014 season was very typical for Central Otago with a long dry autumn allowing slow ripening - with the fruit going into the winery in excellent condition. Hand harvested on 22 April 2014 and bottled October 2014.
