2007 Vintage stands out at Hong Kong wine society tasting

Sometimes an email arrives that makes our day!  JC Viens – an active Member of Hong Kong Wine Society emailed us recently about the blind tasting he’d hosted for Members.

He had put together 12 New Zealand Pinot Noirs – all from the 2007 vintage…

“I am pleased, in fact very pleased, to let you know that your wine (Black Poplar) came 1st. In fact, it was showing extremely well with at least 4-5 more years to develop wonderful complexity. We had the 2005 for dinner and it was wonderful. Drinking beautifully now with lovely delicacy & aged complexity. A wonderful evening and I was emotional when I told the members about our meeting together at your property.” JC
